Oral presentations

  • Duration: Each presentation will have a total duration of 15 minutes: 12 minutes for the presentation itself and 3 minutes for Q&A.

  • Format: Presentations must be prepared and submitted in .pptx format.

  • Slide language: The text on the slides can be in a language different from that of the oral presentation, in accordance with the following guidelines (you may also include both languages on your slides, if you prefer):

    • For oral presentations in Spanish or Portuguese, the slides can be in English.

    • If the oral presentation is in English, the slides can be in Spanish.

  • Submission: Files must be uploaded to the shared Drive—within the folder corresponding to the specific topic or symposium of your session—no later than one day before your presentation.

  • File naming: Each file must be named using the order assigned in the scientific program, followed by the presenter’s first and last name. For example: 5_JoséMartínez.

Those who will be presenting remotely must upload their pre-recorded presentations to the designated Drive folder in MP4 format, and they must be present on the day of their presentation to answer questions via the chat.

Posters

The size is standardized across all WHSG conferences: 91 x 122 cm (3’ x 4’). They can be displayed vertically or horizontally, depending on the available space, at the discretion of each speaker. Each participant is responsible for printing their own poster for the exhibition on November 9th during the congress.

For the virtual poster session, all participants must upload their poster to the platform they will be given access to, in an image format (PNG, JPG, or JPEG) and with a resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch).

The deadline for uploading posters to the platform is November 8.
