SPONSORS AND DONORS

Become a Sponsor and celebrate shorebird conservation throughout the Western Hemisphere. Sponsors have a great impact!

We invite you to advance the scientific study and conservation of shorebirds by sponsoring the 11th Meeting of Western Hemisphere Shorebird Group. This event will take place at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur (UABCS) in La Paz, B.C.S., Mexico, from 9 to 13 November 2026.

The WHSG Meeting is the premier gathering place in the Western Hemisphere for shorebird biologists, including students, early professionals, and managers advancing bird conservation and applied research from the Arctic to Tierra del Fuego. We are expecting over 175 attendees from academia, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and industry to convene at La Paz, B.C.S., México, to network and experience the natural wonders of Baja California Sur. We have plenary speakers, symposia, workshops, and a wide diversity of scientific sessions focused on putting conservation of shorebirds and their habitats into action on the ground. Talks can be delivered in either English or Spanish, and this meeting uniquely brings together participants from across the Americas in a way no other conference does. These events provide exceptional opportunities for student participation, mentorship, and professional development at the highest levels of academic and scientific exchange.

Sponsorship levels vary in contributions, exposure, and exclusivity. Packages are both affordable and robust, ranging from less than USD $300 to $5,000, or may include donation of equipment that can be used to support our members. See below for more information on the sponsorship prospectus that outlines levels and benefits associated with each. By sponsoring, your organization or company will be in front of educators, agency researchers, nonprofit directors and scientists, early professional innovators, students, and consultants. Most of our members are avid bird watchers. From pre-event marketing exposure to extensive on-site visibility, sponsoring the WHSG 2026 meeting is a great way to reach the diverse professionals investigating shorebirds and their habitats. Benefits of Sponsorship at all levels include sponsorship acknowledgement on the website and at the meeting, and a certificate of Appreciation. Specific benefits depend on the contribution and are:
