The WHSG Awards Committee recommends that the awards be given to individuals or teams who have conducted most of their shorebird conservation/research work within the Western Hemisphere, and recommends that individuals or teams receive an award only once. Nominations for the two WHSG awards (Allan Baker, Lewis W.
